April 29, 2024 (SAN ANTONIO) – Applications to be a member of the CPS Energy Community Input Committee (CIC), formerly the Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC), are officially open and will close on Friday, May 17, 2024. Those interested in applying can visit CPS Energy’s website at cpsenergy.com/CICApplication.

CPS Energy is seeking to add four additional community members to the CIC. Additionally, the CIC is seeking to fill an existing seat for an at-large member. This member must live outside the San Antonio city limits and within the CPS Energy service territory. Qualifying applicants for the at-large member must reside in one of the 31 suburban cities or the unincorporated area of Bexar County.

After the application period ends, the CPS Energy Board of Trustees will review all applications and select one member from each of the four quadrants.  The current CIC will select the at-large candidate, following past protocol. New candidates will be brought before the CPS Energy Board of Trustees for final approval at their meeting on Monday, June 24, 2024.

The CIC will provide feedback to the Board of Trustees and CPS Energy management on key initiatives, as requested by the Board. The CIC will have three subcommittees: Power & Technology; Rates, Finance & Business, and Customer Relations & Communications.
