REMOVAL OF OVERHEAD ELECTRICAL LINES REQUIRE SUNDAY LANE CLOSURE  

Road closure at Wurzbach Parkway East & Vista Del Norte is scheduled to improve electric reliability on the north side of San Antonio 

September 14, 2023 (SAN ANTONIO) – CPS Energy is working to improve the quality and safety of aging overhead lines on the north side of the city at Wurzbach Parkway just east of Vista Del Norte.  

The Wurzbach Parkway Project will consist of the removal of aging overhead that will be crossing the Wurzbach Parkway just east of Vista Del Norte. The work will take place on Sunday, September 17, 2023, from 6 – 11 a.m.  

CPS Energy crews will be working on the east and westbound sides of Wurzbach Parkway. This will include a rolling stop to ensure the removal and installation of the overhead lines are performed safely. Alamo City Public Safety will provide traffic control during this road closure. There will be no customer outages as a result of this road work.  

Drivers are asked to find alternative routes and avoid the areas, if possible. CPS Energy reminds drivers to Move Over or Slow Down, per State law, for crew and driver safety. CPS Energy has worked with TxDOT for this road closure.
