REMOVAL OF OVERHEAD ELECTRIC LINE FOUNDATIONS REQUIRES LANE CLOSURES

Road closure at Wurzbach Rd. & Nacogdoches Rd. is scheduled to improve electric reliability on the north side of San Antonio

December 15, 2023 (SAN ANTONIO) – CPS Energy is working to improve the quality and safety of aging overhead transmission lines on the north side of the city at Wurzbach Rd. and Nacogdoches Rd.

The Wurzbach Rd. Project will consist of the removal of existing transmission structure foundations on Nacogdoches Rd near the intersection of Wurzbach Rd. and Nacogdoches Rd. This project will cause a road closure starting at 11503 Bulverde Rd and ending at 10915 Nacogdoches Rd. The work will take place on Monday, December 18, 2023, and Tuesday, December 19, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., weather permitting.

CPS Energy crews will be at this road closure, which will cause intermittent lane closures. JAG Public Safety will provide traffic control throughout these road closures. No customer outages are anticipated as a result of this closure.

Drivers are asked to find alternative routes and avoid the areas, if possible. CPS Energy reminds drivers to Move Over or Slow Down, per State law, for crew and driver safety.
