Information about REAP

REAP is a non-profit foundation that helps families in need pay their utility bills. Established in 2002 through a partnership between CPS Energy, the City of San Antonio, and Bexar County, REAP has continued to assist families in need with their utility bills and educate them on energy-saving conservation measures to help them save money.

CPS Energy’s commitment to our community is demonstrated through REAP,” said KJ Feder, Senior Director of Community Engagement & Corporate Responsibility. “Events like GrillsGiving help raise money so families in need have support with paying their electricity bill. CPS Energy is proud to contribute $1 million annually to REAP and works throughout the year to raise additional funds for the program. We thank our partners and participants for taking the time to help their neighbors in need.”

This program helps the elderly, the disabled, families with children and customers with critical-care equipment. The City of San Antonio and Bexar County manage the application process for REAP.
