ADDITIONAL SUNDAY CLOSURE NEEDED FOR ELECTRIC RELIABILITY IMPROVEMENT PROJECT REQUIRING LANE CLOSURES

Overhead transmission line work moved to this weekend.

May 19, 2023 (SAN ANTONIO) – CPS Energy is continuing work in the southeast area of San Antonio. Intermittent lane closures will be required on Sunday, May 21, 2023, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. For safety precautions, traffic will be directed by Barricades Unlimited during the intermittent lane closures.

This project will improve the quality and safety of aging transmission lines, which will ensure electric reliability on the southeast area of the city at S. W.W. White Road just before the S.E. Military Drive intersection, as well as the southbound lane of Meadowland Place in the Highland Hills area.

Drivers are asked to find alternative routes and avoid the areas, if possible. CPS Energy reminds drivers to Move Over or Slow Down, per State law, for crew and driver safety.
