After months of construction, the 167,000 panels are now generating clean, emissions-free power for about 6,600 homes — not to mention hundreds of new jobs.
The 40 MW site is the first to be completed of seven planned by OCI Solar Power that will total 400 MW. CPS Energy will buy the output from the farms for 25 years. As part of the deal, OCI Solar Power and its consortium partners agreed to $100 million in capital investments and to create 800 jobs.
