SUNDAY STORMS LEAD TO POWER OUTAGES IN SERVICE AREA

THIS INCLUDES STATUS AS OF 9:30 PM – IT WILL BE UPDATED WITH CURRENT NUMBERS THROUGHOUT THE RESTORATION PROCESS

Damaging winds along with heavy rain, hail and lightning strikes have affected power to more than 20,000 CPS Energy customers as of 9:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 9, 2019. CPS Energy has called in additional crew members and they are mobilized to be dispatched to work throughout the night to safely restore power.

Access to certain areas will be difficult due to fallen trees and other obstructions. Ground conditions are not ideal considering the damage from Thursday’s severe storms. Crews must be careful with flooded areas and traffic, and they’re susceptible to the same restrictions as any other driver in San Antonio.

We encourage customers who are experiencing an outage to call us at (210) 353-HELP (4357). For a complete map of current outages (remember to refresh for the latest updates) please click here. Outage safety tips are also included on our website.

Please be safe around downed power lines, do not touch them.  Keep your family and pets away from any downed lines. Slow down around working crews to ensure everyone’s safety.

We will continue to provide updates about the status of the restoration and we ask our community for their patience as we work to safely restore power.
