Smoke Wagon part of sizzling music lineup at GrillsGiving this Saturday

We’re just days away from good BBQ and unforgettable entertainment at the 4th Annual GrillsGiving: A Celebration of Meat + Music. More than 30 grill teams will serve up the best brisket, ribs and chicken in Texas for the BBQ cook-off this Saturday, Nov. 17. But the BBQ teams won’t be the only hot commodity at the one-of-a-kind event at Mission County Park. While you’re feasting on tasty sampler plates, our sizzling lineup of bands – Smoke Wagon, The Powell Brothers and Guy Forsyth – will provide a musical feast for your ears.

On Saturday night, we caught up with Smoke Wagon performing at Thirsty Horse Saloon. Stephen Ochsner (Rhythm Guitar/Vocals) says the band provides a high-energy show that breaks the mold of what you usually hear on country radio.

“You won’t hear us singing about blue jeans and 4x4s,” said Stephen. “We like to sing about the gut-level struggles people go through.”
