POLL: San Antonio gives 73% approval of CPS Energy performance
More than 70 percent have approved CPS Energy’s performance, recognizing the municipally owned utility as most trusted in San Antonio, according to a new local poll released by Bexar Facts.
In an effort to “tap into public opinion surrounding issues that are most important” to the greater San Antonio community, KSAT-12 TV, The Rivard Report, and Bexar Facts partnered to create the “public opinion research.”
Local political strategist Christian Archer and others helped form the nonprofit, nonpartisan organization, Bexar Facts, to understand what community members believe are the “number one issues facing a fast-growing city.”
One of the issues and questions Bexar Facts asked the community: “Do You Approve Or Disapprove Of The Job CPS (Energy) Is Doing?”
According to Bexar Facts, over 600 voters in Bexar County were polled on nearly 30 questions, which includes CPS Energy’s performance.
About 73 percent of the voters determined they approve CPS Energy’s performance, designating the company with a “gold star” when compared to nine other civic leaders and organizations, said Bexar Facts’ Liza Barratachea during a live reveal of the poll results at KSAT-12 TV studios.
The Bexar Facts poll results come less than a month after the Smart Energy Consumer Collaborative honored the utility with the Culture Transformation Award for its “People First” philosophy.
CPS Energy, the nation’s largest municipally owned natural gas and electric company, was also designated as a Customer Champion in December 2019 for the 3rd consecutive time.
CPS Energy looks forward to continue serving the San Antonio community and working for its customers.
