New City Park Fee Now Appears on Most CPS Energy Bills

Starting with the October billing cycle, CPS Energy customers who are also City of San Antonio residents will see up to a $1.50 increase on their utility bills related to City services. Effective October 1, City residents will pay a one dollar fee that will help fund parks maintenance. In addition, the Solid Waste and Environmental Services fees both increased by 25 cents.

CPS Energy is not responsible for providing waste collection or maintaining parks. However, the City uses CPS Energy as a billing service to collect monthly fees from residents to support the services. The fees are listed under City Services on the back of the bill.

Customers with questions regarding the City services or related fees can call the City’s non-emergency Customer Service number at 3-1-1.
