Nationally-recognized pitmaster to judge BBQ teams at GrillsGiving, Nov. 19
Kathy Pullin is an experienced local pitmaster with an eye for tasty BBQ. Last year, she was selected out of more than 1,800 pitmasters nationwide to compete on Guy’s Grocery Games on Food Network. She’s won awards at several BBQ cook-offs, including Best in Show out of 197 teams at the 2012 La Vernia BBQ Cook-off. Kathy retired from an insurance job to run her own catering business out of a BBQ food truck. She no longer competes, but instead will be using her expertise to help us judge more than 30 BBQ teams at our 3rd Annual GrillsGiving BBQ Cook-off on Nov. 19.

The BBQ Cook-off is one of several fun activities for the unique, family-friendly event at Mission County Park. GrillsGiving offers a festival-like atmosphere along the San Antonio River, live music, kid’s activities and free parking! This year’s live music line-up includes Band of Heathens, Whiskey Shivers and South Austin Moonlighters.
