Your thoughts go from handy kitchen gadgets like a new Keurig or Bullet, to those ever-popular items that you turn to every year such as scented candles, lotions or a gift card to her favorite restaurant, if it’s open.
Before you spend hours online or grab your face covering to look for an open store and find that perfect present, we want to tell you about a unique gift that any mom would be proud of. Plus, you’ll save time and stay safe because you won’t have to leave the house to buy it.
This year, make a donation to the Residential Energy Assistance Partnership (REAP) and while speaking or face timing with your mom – as you continue social distancing – let her know that you’ve made the charitable donation on her behalf. What better way to show your love for your mom and for your neighbors in need. When you donate to REAP, you’ll help qualifying CPS Energy customers pay their energy bill. It’ll warm mom’s heart to know that you’re generously helping others who are struggling to pay their bills, especially during these challenging times. And, you can let others know by posting on social media and tagging CPS Energy and using the hashtag #REAP4MOM.
Donating to REAP is quick and easy, and any donation is appreciated. To make your donation instantly, text “REAPSATX” to “41444.” Once the text is sent, a link will be provided to make a secure credit card or PayPal donation. Or use the “Donate to REAP” link on our website to give using a debit or credit card, PayPal or Apple Pay.
Want to contribute but prefer to make smaller, more frequent donations that work better for your household budget? You can add a few dollars to any of your monthly CPS Energy payments, whether online or through your paper bill stub.

On average, REAP provides financial assistance for more than 7,000 families per year. CPS Energy donates a minimum of $1 million annually to the program. If you know someone who needs assistance, be sure to let them know about REAP.
