Intern learning dream job in Power Generation

Erik Herrera has spent the last three summers learning how to test and calibrate equipment that keep our power plants running efficiently and our team members working safely. Erik, an intern in our Students Interested in Technical Education (SITE) program, is preparing for his dream job as an Instrument & Controls (I&C) technician. He’s continued training this summer with five other I&C interns and hopes to jumpstart a career with us after graduation!

“I would like to stay working here at CPS Energy,” he said. “It’s what I’m shooting for honestly.”

See the video to learn more about Erik’s hands-on learning experience.
