CPS Energy Seeks Applications for Board of Trustees

San Antonio, TX – CPS Energy is currently accepting applications to fill the expiring term of a current member of the Board of Trustees. Applicants must be United States citizens, permanent residents of Bexar County, and live inside the following service area:

Quadrant 3 – CPS Energy’s southeast service area including portions of City Council Districts 2 and 3.

The CPS Energy Board of Trustees is comprised of citizens representing four geographical quadrants of the City of San Antonio. Trustees must reside within the quadrant they represent. Members of the Board of Trustees serve for a term of five (5) years and are eligible to serve an additional term. The Mayor of San Antonio serves as an ex-officio member.

Trustees, except the Mayor, shall receive annual compensation in the amount of $2,000. The Board sets policy and works with management to oversee the operation of the nation’s largest municipally owned energy company providing natural gas and electric service.

Regular Board meetings are held on the last Monday of each month at 1:00 p.m. in the Board meeting room located on the first floor of the main office building located at 145 Navarro.
