CPS ENERGY RECOGNIZED AS COMMERCIAL PARTNER OF THE YEAR 2018

Yesterday, at the San Antonio Lighthouse’s annual board dinner, CPS Energy was honored as the 2018 Commercial Partner of the Year.

Presenting the award was Mike Gilliam, CEO/President of the Lighthouse, “When it comes to Corporate Citizenship and supporting the Lighthouse mission, CPS Energy has it down pat”.

“What an honor it is to be recognized by the San Antonio Lighthouse for the Blind & Vision Impaired for our corporate citizenship,” said Paula Gold-Williams, President & CEO of CPS Energy. “Partnering with local organizations like the Lighthouse is one of the best ways to bring our People First beliefs into the forefront.  On top of all that, we are proud of how this San Antonio mission-driven organization, provided a highly competitive bid that won the day.”

This year’s winner exemplifies the extraordinary power of a partnership and was the leading organization that significantly impacted the advancement of the mission of the Lighthouse.

A three-year office supply contract was awarded to the Lighthouse after a competitive RFP by CPS Energy. This contract has a direct effect on our more than 480 employees, over half who are visually impaired, and their families. Every purchase creates and maintains jobs at the Lighthouse and provides critically important services for people who are blind or vision impaired.
