Residents in need of financial assistance encouraged to apply for ARPA online
November 23, 2021 (SAN ANTONIO) – CPS Energy offices and customer service centers will be closed on Thursday, November 25, and Friday, November 26, 2021 in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. CPS Energy customer service centers will resume normal operations of 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 29, 2021 with extended hours now available on Wednesdays until 6:45 p.m.
During the closure, customers can report natural gas or electric emergencies by calling 210-353-HELP (4357) or 1-800-870-1006 anytime. Online self-service options may be conveniently accessed through Manage My Account at cpsenergy.com anytime, including holidays. Manage My Account offers a variety of self-service needs, including:
- start/stop/transfer service,
- make payment arrangements, and
- set up a payment plan.
As a reminder, City of San Antonio American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds were approved by San Antonio City Council last week to be allocated to CPS Energy customers. The program assists San Antonio residents financially impacted by the COVID-19 crisis with utility payments. The City allocated $20 million to assist CPS Energy customers and $10 million to assist SAWS customers. CPS Energy encourages those affected to apply for the assistance through one of the following options:

- In person at any walk-in center during regular business hours or at a future community event
- By phone during regular business hours at 210-353-6110
Along with ARPA assistance, payment plan options and a variety of assistance programs are available. CPS Energy encourages customers who are experiencing financial hardship to call 210-353-2222 during normal business hours.
