CPS ENERGY INVITES CUSTOMERS TO JOIN TELE-TOWN HALL SERIES
Interactive event directly connects leadership and customers for engaging conversation and surveys on future clean energy plans
Sept. 10, 2021 (SAN ANTONIO) – CPS Energy is inviting customers to attend a tele-town hall on Tuesday, Sept. 14 from 7 – 8 p.m. The event will feature CPS Energy’s President & CEO, Paula Gold-Williams, Chief Power Sustainability & Business Development Officer, Frank Almaraz, and Senior Director of Products & Services, Andrew Higgins.
The upcoming virtual town hall is part of a series to share information on the energy company’s
Flexible PathSM initiatives and answer customer questions and gather their feedback. Nearly 3,000 customers and other stakeholders attended the most recent town hall hosted on Aug. 12, 2021, which included live Q&A and a customer poll.
The Flexible PathSM seeks to replace older generation and introduce newer and cleaner technologies to provide Reliable and Affordable energy to San Antonio for decades to come.
The event will include discussions on the Flexible PathSM initiatives, including the Flexible PathSM Resource Plan, FlexPOWER BundleSM and FlexSTEPSM.
- Current portfolio of power generation resources (plants): The Flexible PathSM Resource Plan provides a roadmap for the retirement of several aging gas steam units that will soon need to be replaced.
- Next steps towards replacing existing plants with new power resources: The FlexPOWER BundleSM initiative is one step along this roadmap to procure newer and cleaner technologies.
- Helpful energy efficiency and conservation options: The FlexSTEPSM program is another milestone that creates a partnership with the community to encourage energy efficiency and conservation.

Customers interested in participating can register on the CPS Energy website. Registered guests will receive a call before the program starts and they can listen either on their phone or watch online. Recordings of previous town hall events are also available online along with other informational materials such as the company’s latest Sustainability Report, Annual Reports and helpful customer programs.
