CPS Energy’s Intern 101: Meet Aleksa Diaz
By Tracy Idell Hamilton on August 2, 2013
Meet Aleksa Diaz, a graduate of Churchill High School who will attend UT Austin in the fall to major in chemical engineering.
For the second summer in a row summer, Aleksa is interning with CPS Energy’s SAFE program, which offers work experience and scholarship money to promote professional careers at public utilities.
Check out this video of Aleksa talking about how eye-opening it is to get real workplace experience, and why she thinks CPS Energy’s intern program would be valuable even for those who don’t have an interest in science and technology:
Since the SAFE program began in 1992, CPS Energy has awarded more than $585,000 in college scholarships to 125 participants.
