CPS Energy is helping customers become more energy efficient with its People First! Community Fairs. The fairs, scheduled at various locations around the city, are designed to give customers tips and valuable information about CPS Energy products, programs and services that will help them save money on their monthly energy bill.

Customers are invited to join CPS Energy and community partners at the People First! Community Fairs to gain valuable insight into smart city initiatives, view the latest technology that will help them manage their energy bills year-round, learn about our energy saving programs, and more!

This is a great opportunity for customers to receive tips on how to save energy, save money and to win prizes! For more information, visit

“Our People First! Community Fairs are a valuable resource for becoming energy efficient, and I encourage customers to attend,” said Maria Garcia, Vice President of Community Engagement. “With the variety of programs available, there is something for everyone. Our energy experts will be available and ready to help customers manage their energy use and save money.”  

Representatives from the following CPS Energy departments will be available to meet with customers at the People First! Community Fairs:

  • Customer Assistance Programs – Learn about programs such as Casa Verde, Affordability Discount program, Budget Payment Plan, and more.
  • Customer Service – Meet with Energy Advisers who are available to answer account questions.
  • Public Safety & Education – Learn how to be safe around electricity and natural gas.
  • Energy Saving Programs – Check out energy efficiency rebates, products and programs.
  • Power Quality & Reliability – Learn about system enhancements that improve service reliability.
  • Smart City – View your energy use and automatic outage reporting.
  • Flexible Path – Give input on San Antonio’s sustainability efforts to meet the needs of customers today and in the future.
  • Kids’ corner – Bring the kids! This family friendly event will also feature a Kids’ Corner with safety demonstrations and activities.

The next People First! Community Fair is scheduled for Thursday, February 21, at Oak Leaf Hall, 3921 Naco Perrin Blvd., San Antonio, TX 78217 from 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm.
