Climbing to the top of the competition
Our Journeyman and Apprentice Lineman will be competing at the 20th Annual Texas Lineman’s Rodeo this Saturday, July 16 in Seguin.
To prepare for the competition our teams have been hard at work. The twenty-two team members competing must be knowledgeable, have speed, agility, endurance, laser-like focus and lots of patience.
Journeyman Lineman will be judged in five obstacles and Apprentice Lineman will compete individually in six obstacles including a two-hour written exam. The guys are also competing for a chance to represent our organization in the International Lineman’s Rodeo in Kansas City.
Earlier this week, I had an opportunity to watch our guys as they trained. Let’s just say…they’re taking this competition to all new heights.

Good luck to all of our Journeyman and Lineman Apprentice, you make us proud!
