San Antonio, TX – CPS Energy is currently accepting applications from residents who are eligible to serve and who live in the Northeast quadrant service area for a vacancy on the Board of Trustees.
The Board sets policy and works with management to oversee the operation of the nation’s largest municipally owned energy company providing natural gas and electric service.
The Northeast quadrant includes the general areas east of HWY 281 and west of Austin Highway extending towards Randolph AFB and the Bexar County line. The CPS Energy Board of Trustees is comprised of citizens representing four geographical quadrants of the city of San Antonio. Board members serve for a term of five (5) years and are eligible to serve an additional term. The mayor of San Antonio is an ex-officio member.
Members of the Board must be United States citizens, and must reside within the quadrant they represent inside the area served by CPS Energy. Members of the Board, except the Mayor, shall receive annual compensation in the amount of $2,000.
Regular Board Meetings are held on the last Monday of each month at 1:30 p.m. in the Board Meeting Room on the first floor of the Main Office Building located at 145 Navarro.
